Guiseley scored 212 runs with David Ross scoring 50, Graeme Wolfenden 49, Chris Cooper 29 and Adam Perring smashing 33 off 18 balls. In reply Bilton stutered under the tight bowling of Marcus Brown (3 wickets) and Adrian Threapleton (2 Wickets). Adam Perring completed a fine match with a wicket off his first delivery and Ian Colquhuon also took a wicket as well as scoring 23 runs.
  • Guiseley finally lose in the Birtwhistle cup!! A depleted 2nd eleven lost by 5 wickets to Follifoot on Saturday ending a 23 game unbeaten streak in the cup.
  • Graeme Wolfenden, David Ross have qualified for the league batting averages. Marcus Brown and Adrian Threapleton have qualified for the bowling.

2002 has been yet another successful year for the second team as they were crowned league champions and reached the quarter finals of the Birtwhistle cup after having won it for the previous four years. Guiseley were defeated by Follifoot (who turned out to be a bit of a bogey team for us) as they were missing six second team players who were called up to defeat Follifoot first team in the Waddilove quarter final.

Guiseley secure the second eleven League Championship.

Another trophy for Captain Nick Fraser, having captained the side to five years of trophy's (4 Birtwhistle Cups and a league championship). Nick will be the captain of the second eleven again during the 2003 season and will be hoping for more success and possible recapture of the Birtwhistle cup.
