GUISELEY 1st Team VERSUS
Hall Park (Home) - League
|
|
13th September 2003 |
|
|
|
The last game of the season saw the return
of our Aussie crock
( appendix ) Unders
who had been out for the last third of the season.
|
|
| After been put into bat Guiseley lost skipper Ross for 24 followed next ball by Chris 'Unders'
Underwood ( Quack Quack Ooops ) and soon wobbled a little at
91 for 4 before a middle order revival by Howard Reeve ( 40 ),
Ian Chaplin ( 33 ) and Mark Best ( 59 ) took the total to 226
at close. |
|
| After tea Guiseley reduced the visitors to 16
for 2 before a 90 run partnership put Park back in the running,
chiefly down to Michael Elliott (64). R Murphy (27) and D Rule
(42) then added a 67 run partnership. |
| |
| After removing danger man Elliott another
partnership built taking the score onto 200 for 5 before a
mini collapse of 3 wickets for 10 runs ended Parks chances of
winning. At the close Park ended up 12 runs short on 215 for 9. |
| |
| The pick of the Guiseley bowlers was A.Paley
with 4 for 61 and Chris Wain with 2-53. |
| |
| Time now to put on the costumes and get
pi**ed!! |
