After last week it surely couldn’t get any
worse, but oh yes it did and on the eve of the Waddilove Final!!
|
|
| After winning the toss and electing to bat
Guiseley were soon restricted to 28 for 6 with at that stage
only skipper Ross contributing with 11. |
|
| The Otley bowlers were having a field day and it
was only an innings of 28 by M.Best that prevented us been
bowled out for less than 50. |

| The innings closed on a very disappointing 85
with Scot Johnson claiming a seasons best of 8 for 40 off 14.2
overs and Aussie Andrew Burke taking 2 wickets off 11 overs
and only conceding 10 runs.. |

| The way in which Otley replied was as though they
had somewhere to go and polished off the total in 15.3 overs
with 76 runs coming in boundaries. Too many pies and half
volleys !! |

| This was not the best preparation for the Cup
final the day after, hopefully all the runs and wickets are
being saved for then!! |
