Guiseley took four points away from home against Colton as for
one Guiseley managed to post a reasonable score.
|
|
| Captain Phil Thomas (45) opened with Duncan
Archibald (22) and this yielded instant results with an
impressive stand of 75 before Guiseley were reduced to 97 for
four. Lincoln Wray (46 not out) then picked up the challenge
and with the help of stalwart Jeff Atkinson (13no) moved the
score up to 196 for the loss of 8 wickets. Colton toiled well
with A Scholes taking 4-38 and S Casey 2-41. |
|
| Guiseley turned to experience with three of
their bowlers having a combined bowling age of over 150 years,
but it was 16 year old Ricky Harrison who impressed with
figures of 10-26-2. Colton kept losing wickets at the wrong
time and were being well contained by Guiseley's experienced
trio with Lincoln Wray taking 3 wickets and Jeff Atkinson also
taking 3 wickets. |
|
| Colton could only muster 153 for the loss of 8
wickets and Guiseley will be happy to go away with four points
after recent performances. |
