Both the first and and second teams play on Saturdays while the Third team play on Sundays and all three team's play in the 'Airedale and Wharfedale Senior Cricket League, with the firsts and seconds playing in Division 'A' of their respective leagues (there is only one league division for the thirds).
Guiseley cricket club as a whole have started the new century as one of the most successful clubs in the Airedale and Wharfedale Senior Cricket League. The 2000 season was a good year and 2001 was even more successful for all teams. 2001 was very successful at Guiseley for seniors and juniors alike winning two senior cups (including a new senior league cup record) and one junior cup. The 1st Xl has won the Waddilove Cup (The Airedale and Wharfedale Senior Cricket 1st League Cup) making the final for the third year running and finishing as runners up in league. In 2000 the 1st Xl were Division A Champions and Runners up in the Waddilove Cup (for the second year running).
The 2nd Xl won the Birtwhistle cup (The Airedale and Wharfedale Senior Cricket 2nd League Cup) for a league record fourth time and also hold the cup record for most unbeaten matches played. The 3 eleven have finished high in the league this year despite winning Ian Chappell Cup and finished 2nd in the league (having won it the before in 1999) in 2000.

History.....A look back at 2003!!
Guiseley Cricket Club have once again had a very successful season in 2003 winning 2 of the 6 cups available in the Airedale and Wharfedale senior cricket league. Both first and second teams and captains picked up a trophy and it has been a long time since Guiseley have not won a trophy in a year.
The first team had a reasonable season claiming the Waddilove cup (click here for a report on this game) for the third year in a row, and finishing 6th in the league. Mark Best was named man of the match in the cup final for scoring 22 and taking 4-27. Peter Graham's figures also deserve a mention having bowled 9 overs for just 13 runs and one wicket being that of Stephen Phillips the inform overseas at Bilton at the time.

All of Guiseley's success was achieved without Aussie overseas Chris Underwood who had missed the final and the last 7 games of the season with appendicitis. Chris had played a pivotal part in getting Guiseley to the final scoring a valuable hundred against Tong Park and taking numerous wickets along the way (would mention his fielding but he would have been better served in the field as a sight screen...only kidding Unders!!).

Mark Ross holds the cup 2003

The Second team like the first team had another successful year year by winning the Birtwhistle cup for the fifth time in six years against Thackley from division 'B'. The seconds also finished fourth in the league after spending the majority of the season without a number of regulars (called up to the first team).

Guiseley bowler Adam Perring won the reserve division 'A' bowling prize at the league dinner and David Ross completed a 1000 runs for the season including a memorable 154 at Hall Park in the cup semi's. Other centurions included Richard Whitaker with 155 not out at Otley and 111 not out in the cup final as well as Glen Taylor who scored 136 in the cup final (an also won man of the match).

The Third team had to settle for 7th in the third team table after a disappointing year all round. Blooding several young players including 4 from the under 13's was always going to be difficult for new captain Roger Waite. Guiseley were narrowly beaten in the semi final by a more experience Collingham side after a spectacular batting collapse saw Guiseley seemingly on their way to victory bowled out 7 runs short losing 5 wickets for 12 runs.
